Chris and I chose Sonia Sanchez mainly because nobody else was doing their project on her. I've sat down with Mrs. Totten and listened to "Poems for Some Women" and "Middle Passage" and loved it. She's different. The way she act her poems out makes it seem like you're where ever she's talking about. I love it.
Conclusion:
It was rewarding to learn more about Sonia Sanchez because she's unique. I've never heard any poet sound the way she do. The way she makes you feel, the way she uses her words are different from other poets. Even though some of her poems are lenghty, the way she explains it, you would want to listen to every part and detail. That's how good of a poet Sonia Sanchez is.
